Hello, my name is Mr. Gonzalez and I teach Social Science at BMS! I was originally born in Las Vegas, NV on December 24, 1986, but was raised in Tulare, CA since the age of two. I am one of five children, with three sisters and one brother, and we were raised by two hard working and loving parents. There is no question that my parents pushed me to become the person I am today.
I graduated from Tulare Union High School in 2005 where I decided to pursue a career in education. In 2006, I attended the College of Sequoias and graduated with an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Studies. I later transferred to Fresno State where I majored in History, with a primary focus on U.S. History and African American Studies. In 2011, I became the first member of my family to graduate from a four year University, which made my parents very proud. One year later I received my teaching credential from Fresno State and look forward to receive my Masters in Educational Leadership in the near future.
I am now entering my third year of teaching here at BMS and I'm excited to continue to build great relatinships with students and parents. It was an absolute pleasure to have taught and coach a great group of students who were willing to work hard! There isn’t any doubt that I belong to the BMS family!
My goals are simple: Help educate the future of our communities and become a positive role model for our young people. I strongly believe that a student is only as effective when an educator gives his or her all. So to the parents I can guarantee you this: I will work hard to provide the best education possible so that your child can be college and world ready! I can also assure you that I will do my very best to make sure that each and everyone of my students will enjoy a safe learning environment!
Let’s make this year a GREAT one!
